The Rotary Club of Chatham’s Chili Contest!

The Rotary Club of Chatham would like to commend James M Hill High School on having such wonderful students. On September 29th we had our Chili Contest during the Pumpkin Festival. The weather cooperated and there was a large turn out for all the activities. We very much appreciated the help from the Interact Students. They helped set up, serve the chili and handled the cash. Together, we raised $500 for the STEM Program!

The students were: Anika Bushra, Victoria Godfrey, Rachel McNeil, Kori Daminato, Derek Mullin, and Kate Estabrooks. Also pictured: Tyson Theriault and Judy Losier.

Participating restaurants were: Tim Horton’s, Goodie Shop, Fundy Line and Rodd Miramichi. All remaining chili was donated to the Saint Mary’s Anglican Church Community Kitchen. It was a cool day, and I am sure the students were cold, but they never complained and were very professional. We appreciated the help and look forward to working with them again on another project.
